Solving Problems
When you start to worry about home problems, just sit
there and try to figure out what you can do to fix it. If you don’t have food,
then figure out where you can get some. If you have bills, figure out how you
are going to take care of each one of them, which one is going to go first. For
example, rent and PG&E would go first because you need that, then phone.
Cable should come after because you do other things like watch TV or get movies
to watch on DVD.
If you have a friend or staff, call them for advice.
They might help you figure out where to go or what to do next. They might even
go with you and help you out.
Another thing that helps is
that I talk to myself. I talk to myself at work because it helps me think
better and remind myself of what I am supposed to be doing. There is nothing
wrong with talking to yourself. When you talk to yourself, you can remind
yourself of what you need to do. You can repeat things as many times as you
want to help you remember. You are just like a tape recorder for yourself.
Repeating things helps me understand what I am going to be doing. Don’t worry
about what others think when you talk to yourself. If anybody looks at you,
just block them off and keep repeating things until you know what to do. <Back Next>
